Burleigh’s Under 20s will be looking to bounce back when they take on the Helensvale Hornets at Pizzey Park this Sunday morning.
The Bears are currently sitting in third place on the competition ladder and have been the competition’s best attacking team, crossing for an average of 37 points a game so far this season.
However, their last outing was a defensive wake-up call, as they suffered a 52-28 loss at the hands of competition leading Currumbin Eagles.
Last week they had the bye, meaning they’ve had two weeks to reflect and prepare for this week’s tough clash against the second placed Helensvale Hornets.
The Hornets already hold a 28-24 victory over the Bears from earlier this year and the Bears will need to deliver one of their better performances in order to keep touch with the top two teams.
Burleigh’s Under 20s clash with Helensvale will be the first of three senior games at Pizzey Park on Sunday.
Reserve grade’s clash with Helensvale and A Grade’s battle with Currumbin will follow later in the day.
