Burleigh’s Under 20s have a chance to move into third place when they take on the Helensvale Hornets this Sunday morning.
The Bears are fourth on a congested ladder but thanks to a good for-and-against will definitely move into third with a win on Sunday and could go as high as second if other results go their way.
They’ll need to bounce back from a 32-14 defeat at the hands of Mudgeeraba in their last outing where they conceded seven tries.
Despite being unable to put together consecutive wins since Round 5 and 6, the Bears still have the competition’s best attacking record and have proven they can beat anybody on any given day, they will just be hoping to find more consistency in the final seven rounds.
Honours are split between the Bears and Helensvale in their two outings this year. Helensvale won 28-24 in Round 4 before Burleigh hit back with a resounding 48-24 victory in Round 8.
